At that moment, they can ideally get involved directly in the story and solve a situation in which, in their opinion, the main character makes the wrong decision, in a better way. The actors then play the whole performance again, but the audience has the opportunity to stop the story at any time and correct the action of the protagonist. Therefore, the story always ends tragically, or at least very unfavorably for the main character. First, a performance is performed by the acting team, in which the main character gets into complicated situations and then solves them incorrectly. The concept of the play is built as a forum. The aim of the theatrical performance is to ensure that children perceive important messages and principles more intensely in this way compared to classical school teaching. Performances take place in secondary schools and in orphanages. In a unique, successful and fun way, it teaches children the value of money, how to deal with them well from an early age and how to think about their financial security in the future. That is why we support the realization of theatrical performances “Money does not grow on trees”. An educated client who understands his obligations and fulfills the concluded contracts is, after all, the dream client for each of the members of the SOLUS association. SOLUS supports a number of projects aimed at increasing financial literacy. And especially with this form a lot of projects are helping. Other schools classify financial literacy as a separate subject or teach it within project days. For example, when teaching percentages in mathematics, it is stated with a short comment that interest or inflation are taught. Some primary schools integrate teaching of financial literacy into “traditional” subjects, such as mathematics, civics, or family education. ![]() So there is one goal, but many ways to achieve it. The only thing they should stick to is financial literacy standards – a set of knowledge and skills that students should achieve. Primary schools can organise financial literacy lessons according to their own discretion. This is one of the reasons why the teaching of financial literacy has been a compulsory part of primary school education since 2013. 96% of Czechs think that financial literacy should be taken care of by the school system. TYJÁTR: INCREASING CHILDREN'S FINANCIAL LITERACY DIFFERENTLYįinancial literacy is extremely important for children, and talking to them about finance is really worth it.
